Web 2.0 Apps

As mentioned in a previous post, we like to use technology to help us get things done better and faster. If you keep up with current web trends then you already know that web applications are popping up everywhere. These applications range anywhere from managing money to streaming media. An application that caught our attention from the beginning and has helped us tremendously is TrackMyShipments.com

TrackMyShipments.com is a free online service that lets you do exactly what its name says. They have provided an innovative solution to a big problem. Problem: As a company or individual, you have many items being shipped on a weekly basis. Each company you buy from may use a different shipper (UPS, USPS, Fedex, etc) Now you are left with multiple tracking codes for multiple shippers, which means having to visit multiple websites to track your shipments. Solution: A website where an individual or company can track all shipments.

The process is very easy. Every time you get an email from the company you purchased from confirming that your order has been shipped, simply forward the email to the TrackMyShipments.com email address. Within a few minutes, tracking information is displayed in your TrackMyShipments.com account. This is a great service, but what makes it even better is the fact that it is completely free.

Cabinet Manufacturing and Technology

Since the beginning of Premier Cabinets, we have always had the mindset of standing out from the rest. Instead of being just another cabinet company in the industry, we have chosen to create a new category in the industry. To better help you understand this mindset, let me give you some examples of companies who have chosen this route as well.

Dunkin Donuts - One of the first walk in donut and coffee shops.
Ebay - One of the first online auction websites to bring the consumer and business owners (of any size) on an equal playing field.

As you can see, each of these companies didn't just follow the current fad or trend, but instead they started something completely new.

This is how we operate at Premier Cabinets as well. We are currently in the building stages of our new website and software. By using technology, we can better serve our customers. I have listed below some highlights and features of our company. The first list (understood qualities) consists of qualities that should be a staple in all companies. The second list (contrast qualities) is of qualities and features that make us stand out from the rest. By using technology, we can offer features that you won't find with most other companies.

- company is approachable (customer must feel comfortable with company)

Contrast Qualities
- multiple ways to contact us (in person, phone, online chat and email)
- real-time updates on customers' cabinet order (customers can login to view updated video of their cabinets being assembled)
- detailed website (our new website consists of to the point information along with beautiful detailed images of our work)
- nationwide announcements of job openings (all of our job openings are posted on multiple websites nationwide to make it easy to learn more about the position and apply)

Hopefully this information has helped you to learn a little more about our company. Overall, our passion is to make beautiful cabinets and serve the customer.
